I'm being interviewed on the Frank DeCaro Show on Sirius OutQ Radio (pay radio), Channel 109, on Monday, April 28, at 1:15 PM (afternoon).

I will, of course, be talking about my bisexual historical romantic comedy, Phyllida and the Brotherhood of Philander, which is being released on Tuesday the 29th.

According to the Sirius listings, the show is "a bi-coastal brunch every weekday when pop culture funnyman Frank DeCaro, a dyed-in-the-salon New Yorker, and Doria Biddle, the Kevin Bacon of lesbian LosAngeles, dish show biz dirt." It should be a lot of fun.

Back in June I was interviewed on Queery, Madison, Wisconsin’s longest-running LGBT radio show, to talk about my bisexual historical novel, Phyllida and the Brotherhood of Philander: a bisexual Regency romance.

Here’s the link to the page on my Web site with the audio and a transcript.

Since this was my first live on-air interview, I have to admit I wasn’t as sharp as I wish I'd been. The interviewers, Sharon Osterloh and Shawn Neal, were excellent—kind and gentle, guiding me to present my book in the best light possible—but there were some points I should have made and didn’t. If you’re interested, they follow the cut.

Queery is Madison, Wisconsin's longest-running LGBT radio show. On June 28, interviewers Sharon Osterloh and Shawn Neal spoke with me, Ann Herendeen, about my bisexual historical romance novel, Phyllida and the Brotherhood of Philander.
Questions focused on how a bisexual romance differs from a traditional historical romance; whether the idea of a bisexual man making an arranged marriage is historically accurate; and what sort of gay subculture existed at the time of the book's setting, 1812 London.

Here's the link to the audio and the transcript:

Of course, as with any first-time experience, after the fact I thought of all the trenchant, sparkling, profound yet witty things I should have said. If you'd like to read them, here's the link to the LJ post where I wrote them down later:

There's a fun little interview in the Riverfront Times, St. Louis's alternative weekly paper. Ben Westhoff asked the questions.

See how the cool people react to the idea of the first-ever bisexual Regency romance:

The one answer I'd like to change: I'd prefer to see Heath Ledger as Matthew Thornby, the hero's boyfriend, when my ideal movie version is made.

And my one quibble: "Cucumber sandwiches"?
